Is Rinnai mainly a gas brand?

Largely, yes. Rinnai is Japanese and its core business is gas combustion, so what you get here is built-in gas hobs in stainless steel, tempered glass and Schott Ceran, plus cooker hoods. There are a few induction hobs and built-in ovens in the range, but gas is what the brand is actually known for.

Town Gas or LPG?

Both exist and they are listed as separate products, because the two are not interchangeable. A hob built for Town Gas will not run properly on LPG and the reverse is just as true. The fuel is named in the product title. Check it against your supply before you order.

Do Rinnai gas hobs need a licensed installer?

Yes, and so does every other brand. All gas hob installation in Singapore has to be done by a Licensed Gas Service Worker. That is the law, not a manufacturer preference.

Glass or stainless steel?

Mostly a question of how it looks and how you clean it. Glass wipes flat and shows the burner layout clearly. Stainless steel takes more abuse and hides marks better under heavy daily use. What actually differs between models is the burner configuration and the cutout, and both are on every listing.
